Upcoming: reviews on MS Paint!

In the next couple of days I will be doing reviews between Windows 7 and Windows Vista's Paint programs. This is to see what one I think is better. Sidenote: Windows XP and Vista paint programs will also be reviewed. Pictures posted from each will be included in XP/ Vista review.

Forseen date of the reviews will probably be April 11th - 14th.

Windows 7

I noticed that Windows 7 has added and changed things on the Paint application. The Windows 7 version of paint makes use of the Ribbon UI. It also features "artistic" brushes composed of varying shades of gray and some transparency that give a more realistic result. To add to the realism, the oil and watercolor brushes can only paint for a small distance before the user must re-click. This gives the illusion that the paint brush has run out of paint. It also has anti-aliased shapes, which can be resized freely until they are rasterised when another tool is selected. This version supports viewing (but not saving) transparent PNG and ICO file formats and saves in the PNG file format by default. Microsoft now gives you the option to make any shape you just drew bigger or smaller after drawing it. I personally hope that there's an option to turn off the realisticness of the user having to click off then back on to paint.

MS Paint: Problem!

Recently my MS Paint has been saving the images that I make in a JPEG format. When I go back to it the picture, it's quality is totally destroyed. The colors are like meshed together around their edges. I recently have been saving to 24-bit bitmap, which is a hassle when I make a new drawing. First problem I have had with it. Here's an example of the degrading, the Sears tower ...

... wait it's the Willis tower now.

Greetings!

Hello, this will be my first post on my new blog, YAY!! Well, here's a little about myself. I love to draw on MS Paint (I think it's called pixel art), I can create really anything that I set my mind on. I'm an avid reader of MLIA and FML. I have two fish they're called I think "Tequila sunrise or sunburst" guppies. Their names are Thelma and Louise. Okay enough about me. Lets move on to what this blog is about, it's about me posting my artwork, from MS Paint. Hopefully this blog won't be a disaster. :)

(It's not mosaics or anything just my way of art on MS Paint).
